Metformin part 2

So I have already posted asking about people side effects that they got on metformin, but has anyone experienced extremely light/ short almost hardly existent periods? After I started taking it, my next period was a couple days early and only three days long and basically only required a panty liner. Now here I am not even two weeks later having the same type of “period”. What’s up with this? I’m also on my third month of birth control because I was only diagnosed about three months ago
