Went to the doctor on Thursday at 40+5, she had me do a stress test and my little guy did not pass so I was sent to be induced that night (I was induced with my first son, so I wasn’t too worried about anything!) we get to the hospital about 8 pm, and around 9pm they started petocin. I was already 4cm when I arrived so I didn’t have to go too far. At around 10 my water broke (I heard it, it was CRAZY!) at that point I requested my epidural. It was placed perfectly and was able to get some rest. At around 12:30 the nurse came in and checked me and I was at 6cm. I fell back asleep, and suddenly I woke up with the strongest need to push! So I called the nurse back in and she was hesitant to check my cervix again because she had just checked it 30 mins ago. Sure enough, I was 9cm. She got the room ready and 5 mins later I started pushing. My son Brantley Tyler Chavez was born at 1:25 am on June 15th, 2018. He was 8lbs 14oz (this was nothing as my first son was 9lbs 1oz) he was 21 inches long, and he is JUST PERFECT ! So happy my little family is finally complete! 💙
