Struggling...

Hello,

My newborn is 3 weeks today and we’re still having a lot of issues with feeding. I’ve been breastfeeding and supplementing with formula or pumped breast milk almost every feeding. I am producing milk but my newborn is unable to suck it all — I always pump a little (about 1-3 oz) after nursing.

She seems to have a decent latch but perhaps a very lazy/weak suck? I’m not exactly sure what the problem is.. she will nurse for about an hour but not drain my breasts and I will then need to pump while she cries because she’s still hungry. She was unfortunately introduced to the bottle first in the hospital and I wonder if that affected her sucking strength.

I’m also struggling with low milk supply..
