my daughter was born this morning 5:41am

I had been having contractions around 7 mins in between the last two days. my mother kept insisting we got to the hospital but I didn't want to just get sent home. yesterday 6/16/18 my mom came over still watching and timing my contractions saying we needed to go to the hospital. I didn't feel any different and they were bearable so I gave in thinking we'd just get sent home. got to labor and delivery about 6pm, they checked me and I was 2cm dilated. I went to the restroom and while sitting there the worst pain hit me. my contractions went from my stomach just tightening to extreme period cramps that wrapped around into my back every 2 mins. luckily by 7pm I had progressed to 3cm so they decided i was staying and could have an epidural. best thing ever. didn't hurt at all just made my leg jump at one point. from there it was pretty much smooth sailing. By 9pm I was at 6 1/2cm and they decided to break my water. then they noticed meconium mixed with my water and my blood pressure dropped extremely low along with my daughters heart beat. so they moved me around until we both got stabilized. 40 mins later I was 8cm. things we're progressing fast then slowed a little bit. I got some rest but by 3am I started to feel my contractions on my left side since they had me

on my right. I begged the anesthesiologist for another large dose which he said may not help but thankfully they let me roll over on my left side and everything numbed evenly. at 5am they came to check me and her head was right there. I had no idea seeing I couldn't feel anything. 5 minutes or practice pushes and her head was almost out. got the doctor and two pushes later my princess was born. I didn't feel a thing, didn't know she was out til the doctor told me and I heard her cry. 7lbs 3 oz and 20 inches long. FTM
