Is it me??

Alright, I need to know that I’m not just insane here.

Back story:

My Mother in law left my father in law about 3 years ago. He was a severe alcoholic and wouldn’t give it up for her. She has no family around here so she moved across country to be with her childhood friend. She had us move into the house 2 years ago when my father in law passed away. She refused rent, just didn’t want to sell the house and wanted us to be here till she decided to come back. She told us she didn’t plan to come back for at least 10 years. Well I didn’t want to move in here because I knew it wouldn’t end well, but my husband forced my hand. We’ve been here 2 years now.

She told us back in December that she wanted to move back this coming July/August. Great, my husband needs his mother. We started trying to buy a home. We officially close on it next Thursday. We aren’t sure when we are allowed to move in yet though because of paperwork. She texted my husband last week and dropped the bomb on us that she will be back here next Wednesday!!!! No warning, no asking, just told us! I know it’s her house! I respect that! But we literally have no room for her! She wants her room back, which is our room, and everything spotless and yard looking nice. We are in a severe drought here with a giant wildfires raging in the mountain, so sadly, the yard is dead and looks like shit. We can’t water right now. My husband and I both work a lot as well, so yeah, the yard doesn’t look good and the house is dirty. We just don’t have time to make things the way she wants. She also wants all of our stuff out so she can put hers in, but we have no place to put our stuff. The house is a very small single wide trailer that’s very, very old and literally falling apart. She also wants us to pay to fix everything for her! She wants us to pay for her new deck, when it’s been falling apart for at least 5 years. We do not have that kind of money! I refuse to pay for it. I told her we would help her build it, but I’m not paying for it. She wanted us to pay to fix everything, but her husband and her were the ones that let it fall to shit. My husband and I have made repairs as we have been here. She did us a favor by letting us live here rent free, but we also did her the favor of living here so she didn’t have to sell it. I am really mad she just dropped the bomb on us that she’ll be here in 3 days. She’s also bringing her cat knowing that our cats and hers will fight and will be forcing me to keep my cats outside in a kennel for a week. My cat’s are inside cats. They never go outside. He cat is an outdoor cat.

Please tell me you’d be upset about this too?! Is it just me?!
