Stories of when you finally went into labor?

I’m bored and getting close to 33 weeks now and I just wanna hear everyone else’s stories of when they finally went into labor (: it makes me so nervous!

I was due December 21, 2015, and worked up until a couple weeks before that. The 21st came and went and I was scheduled to be induced December 28 if she didn’t come on. Well, Christmas Eve rolls around and I am miserable. I live in southeast Texas, outside of Houston, and it was hot as hell. I had shorts and short sleeves on and I was huge. I was also miserable because we had to go to my in laws that day (our tradition is Xmas eve with them, and Xmas day with my family). I hate my in laws. And our plan was to NOT tell any of them when I went into labor because I did not want them at the hospital! Well we are at Christmas Eve and it’s been a couple hours. I’m exhausted and just annoyed and ready to gtfo of there. So we decide to go home (which my MIL threw a fit about🙄). My husband was super tired because he had been working a ton, so he fell asleep at home around 4 and by the time 7pm rolled around I was having some contractions. I walked around, took a bath, did some laundry, and just waited it out because I’d been having Braxton Hicks and wasn’t sure if it was real or not. By 10pm I was getting stronger contractions, so I called my doctor and she told me not to rush but to come on in. So there we went, Christmas Eve, to the hospital at midnight. The roads were a ghost town. And this is houston, where things are busy ALL the time. But it was Xmas eve so no one was out, and nothing was open. We get to the hospital and get checked in, my doctor checks me and 3cm dilated. I walked around and hung out and things weren’t really progressing, so they gave me pitocin. That made the contractions a lot stronger so I got an epidural and just hung out in bed. I remember being SO bored! My husband and I had said we didn’t want anyone up there with us, but I wish I had let my mom, Dad, and Sister into the room because I was bored out of my mind and stuck in bed while my husband slept on the couch in the room. 
Christmas Day rolls around and I haven’t got much rest, the epidural gave me the shakes, and I’m about ready to reach in there and pull her out myself. I tell the nurse it has to be time cause this has just gone on forever, and she checks me. Sure enough it’s time! I did a couple practice pushes, just me, my husband, and the nurse, and then I pushed for 30mins and out she came! Doctor rushed in to deliver her shoulders and all that magic of the afterbirth/stitches, etc. 
After a wonderfully non eventful and pretty great labor, my daughter was born at 12:12pm on Christmas Day! 8lbs 3oz and 19 1/2 inches long. 
I’m currently 23wks with my second daughter and hoping for the same outcome as before. A nice and relaxed birth with no complications.   
Here is my first daughter on her 2nd birthday! She’ll be almost three when Sister gets here. ☺️

I worked up until my water broke...40 weeks and 6 days lol. I’m a realtor so I decided to work. But my water broker the moment I closed one of very stressful deals. I sat in my car it was 7pm..just gave my clients keys to their new home. I sat in my car...I felt wet...I was like ok just discharge. I got home 15 mins later and the towel I had been sitting on for this exact purpose was wet too! I was like hmmm ok. So I decided to test the water soaked in the towel with a pool PH test strip lol. If it’s extremely high in ph then it’s your water...I was told by a nurse when I was in 1 week prior thinking my water had broken lol.  Anyways so we got super excited we took off the hospital. Called in advance letting them know we were coming in. My hubby stopped to get gas and snacks for the evening. 
We got to the hospital, I got admitted, very mild contentions Here and there. They checked me. I was 4 cm. The decided to finish breaking my water...then the full gush came out! Shortly after the contractions got real lol. Lol. It was about 11pm now. I got the epidural around 2 when I was dilated to 7. The has given me pitocin earlier too to help me dilate. The espiral
Helped me sleep while I dilated. I did have some complications but non affecting the baby. By 7 am I was fully dilated. I waited an hour more before pushing so that she could be lower. So by about 930 my little arrived. It was the best experience ever! Best of luck to you!!!

Pregnant with my fourth here. First, let me say congrats! You’ll do great no matter how or when you give birth!
My first was induced by Foley catheter at 38 weeks. I was completely closed and high, but preeclampsia forced the induction. I had it inserted on Thursday at 4:30 pm, went to the hospital Friday at 5:45 a.m., and after 20+ hours of laboring, I had to have a c-section. I had fever from the anesthesia and had to stay five days while my baby stayed four for jaundice. It was awful. Recovery was hell at best.
My second I started dilating at 34 weeks: 2 cm, 3cm at 36 weeks, 4 at 37, and 7 at 37.5 when my husband made me go to the hospital on the Friday night at 7pm. I don’t feel dilation (high pain tolerance), so I just agreed to go to make him hush. I got to 10 cm on Saturday at 10am, so they broke my water but still nothing happened for two hours. They put me on pitocin at 12:15 pm and at 1:24 pm my second baby was born. Fourth degree tear because baby had a YUGE head. Unmedicated birth. Easiest recovery ever. 
My third was nearly the same as the second except I sat at 5 cm from 36 weeks to 38 weeks and awful sporadic contractions. Turns out the baby’s head was stuck on my hip bone. Went to the hospital at noon (after a huge DQ meal 😂) and had my water broken at 3pm. Nothing. Sitting at 6 cm with no real contractions that whole time. Pitocin started at 7 pm and turned up to full strength by 10 pm. I quietly pushed with each big contraction without anyone knowing (high pain tolerance and just not a screamer) until 11:30 pm when I screamed hard and loud and nearly gave up. Three pushes and the baby was born. 2nd degree tear (instead of another 4th 🙌🏻) because I apparently “was a diva” and asked for a quick break between contractions and pushing. 😂 Again unmedicated. Yet another easy recovery. 
Fourth baby is with a new doc, but I’m hoping for one last unmedicated vbac. Just such an easy recovery for me. Anesthesia treated me awful after the fact and I don’t want that again.

I worked until my due date of 1/19/2016... early labour started 1/20/16.... water broke naturally at home on 1/24/16 early morning hours... went to hospital at around 930am... laboured until 1030pm when it was decided to go with a c section. my daughter was born at 1136pm on 1/24/16.
