Areola shriveling up

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I plan on breastfeeding, however, when my nipples are stimulated in any way, or sometimes for no reason, or when they get cold.. my areola seem to sort of shrivel up or contract and get really small and bunched up. I don't know any better way to explain it. But, it's really uncomfortable when they are that way and I'm wondering if this will effect the breastfeeding? Anybody else experience this?
