Am I being too uptight?!

I have a 1 year old who my parents watch during the week. My nephew is 3 months younger and ALWAYS sick. He goes to daycare, and I know sometimes that’s just part of the deal. But he lives with my in-laws and for Father’s Day this past weekend we did not celebrate with them because my nephew was running 102 fever. They are making me feel like were being too uptight to not come over. I just feel like why expose everyone to being sick unnecessarily??!

Just for some background, in December they didn’t tell us he was sick and babysat for us and a HORRIBLE case of the flu or norovirus ripped through my family, my parents, and my brothers who still live at home. Then for Easter when we went over they said he was sniffly (what baby isn’t) and he was practically a crawling plague! Our baby got sick and again so did everyone else. He’s also had pink eye, thrush, and a couple other things we were lucky not to pick up. So we basically try and limit our time around him and definitely ask if he’s sick before we go now.
