Inductions?

What are your opinions/experiences on them (as someone who has had an induction before)?

I don’t think elective indication should be allowed. The often lead to a c section with us a major surgery and can be hard on mom and baby. I think you should let your baby decide when baby is going to come. Trying to force your body and you baby to do something they aren’t ready to do just isn’t the way to go imo

It wasn't a terrible experience for me. It sucked not being able to do much but lay in the bed, and it was painful, but I used an epidural and some other pain meds. My entire induction lasted around 25 hours. That was the first time. We will see how the second time goes in a couple weeks!

It was less stressful than waiting to go into labor on my own and figuring out when to go to the hospital. I started pitocin around dinner time, got my epidural a a few hours later and my son was born 8:20 am the next morning. Aside from him being a preemie and the room being miserably hot while pushing (they cranked the temp up so his body temp didn’t drop too much) it was a pretty good experience. I was not a huge fan of my start and finish nurses but the one I had overnight and the first hour I was pushing was AMAZING

mine was rough but im glad we did cause i daughter would not have fit otherwise. apparently the main side effect is stronger contractions for longer acording to my dr. hopefully ill go naturally this time so ill know whether its harder or not 😊!
