Morning sickness and ER?

Anyone experience going to ER because of  extreme morning sickness?

My doctor made me feel like my extreme sickness was normal so I suffered through it until week 17 when I saw my family for the first time in months. They immediately drove me to the hospital because I looked like death and I ended up getting admitted for extreme dehydration and diagnosed with HG. It took a week to get my liver enzymes down, my hemoglobin levels normal (luckily without a blood transfusion), and to reintroduce potassium and magnesium to my body. After that, my sickness was still constant so I went back every 3/4 days for a month because I did NOT want to wait too long for help like last time. Eventually my doctor set it up so that I could call the office during the week and tell them I needed fluids and I could head into the IV wing instead of triage for a few bags. Long story short: don’t wait too long for fluids! If you need them, GO! Basically if you haven’t kept 40 oz of fluid down in 48 hours, go get an IV. Usually you’ll be out in a few hours.

It’s more common than you might think. You may have be experiencing hyperemesis.

I go to a quick care place and tell them I can't reach my doctor to get refills on my nausea meds. I've had to do it twice now. Luckily, I've switched doctors and I'm also really close to my due date so... it should be over soon.

I did around 12 weeks but it turns out I'd also gotten food poisoning. That's actually how we found out I was pregnant!

I did at 15 weeks with my daughter. Wasn’t a big issue. They just got me in as quickly as they could and got me hooked up to IV fluids. Took a couple of hours and then they did an ultrasound to check on her.
