placental insufficiency?

Has anyone ever been diagnosed with placental insufficiency? I was just told yesterday my baby is under weight due to my placenta not pumping enough blood to my baby. What were your outcomes if you had it and what was done?

Hi, I’m 34 weeks pregnant and my baby is measuring small as well. I have several tests done including an Amnio. So far all the results are good hence the doctors are thinking it may be a placental insufficiency. I’ve been hospitalized tho so that they can monitor me. But the baby is active and his heartbeat/rhythm is good.
However, if he does not continue to grow I might need to get a C-section in the upcoming weeks

I had two friends with this.  One has her baby at 34 weeks, c-section and her baby was small. 2lbs 4oz, in the NICU for 6 weeks but he is okay. My other gf went on bedrest at 16 weeks and had him at 36 weeks at 5lbs 5oz.  Good luck!
