I started potty training my almost 18 month old son. I really need advice. I started about 5 days ago where I put him on the toilet as soon as he wakes up, right before breakfast, right after breakfast, right before nap time, right after nap time, right before lunch, right after lunch, right before dinner, right after dinner, and right before bedtime.. I also try getting him to go about 20-30 minutes after he drinks A LOT.

I’m stuck because he’s constantly crying every time I put him on the toilet. He hates sitting on it :/ he also doesn’t talk much for being almost 18 months old. The only word he really says is dada so he can’t tell me when he needs to go. Trust me I’ve tried..

should I keep trying? Should I stop till he talks more?

He hates his diaper being changed. Every time I do take him to the potty he likes touching his area and won’t stop touching it the whole time he’s on the toilet.

I’m not sure what to do and everyone I ask tells me I need to keep doing it..
