Games at baby shower?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I have a question for all of you...Do you play games at baby showers, and if so, would you find it weird/rude/tacky if you attended a shower and there were no games?
I'm asking because my sister-in-law is pregnant and her sister is doing much of the planning, but she doesn't want to have games because she says my SIL doesn't like games. She, my SIL's sister, wants to just have a few "guess the count" jars out instead. My thing is, most of the women who'll be there are older and more traditional and probably expect games, plus SIL not liking games, to me seems like more of her OWN preference of games, not not having guests play them. like bingo wouldn't necessarily involve my SIL, SHE wouldn't be playing that kind of a game...do you know what I mean?

A baby shower without games sounds very strange and boring to me...

No one in my friends, family, or even my mom’s friends who would come to showers like games. We all prefer catching up and socializing and actually getting to spend time with the guest of honor (since so much time is already taken up with the opening presents part). 
If you HAVE to do games make them really simple. One we did was more an ice breaker because not everyone at the tables knew each other so it was just a way to get them interacting. It was basically a short poem that had you passing the card around the table depending on what the line was...blah blah blah now pass to the person who’s know the Mom to be longest. Blah blah blah pass to the person wearing green. Blah blah blah pass to the person on your left. And then whoever had it at the end won a small prize. 
Nobody wants to guess what kind of chocolate bar is melted in a diaper to see what kind of poo it is. Nobody wants to keep track of safety pins and who says baby or whatever the forbidden word, and nobody wants to guess how big the belly is with a piece of ribbon.

I hate baby shower games and didn’t want them at my shower, but my hosts wanted them so we had them. I didn’t really mind and was grateful for the shower, but would have preferred to not have them.

I’d say find a happy medium. Don’t do any of the more “tacky” games for lack of a better word, like the diaper and poop game. 
I’d do simple things that just make it s little fun for the guests like maybe everyone who comes gets a raffle ticket and the winner gets a prize, the guess how many of this thing is in the jar, randomly put a winner sticker on the bottom of a paper cup or plate and who ever ends up with that one wins.

I hate shower games and for my bridal shower that was literally my only request—no games. My aunt did them anyway and I was so disappointed and upset because it was the ONLY thing I asked for. For my cousin’s baby shower, I hosted and I asked her if she wanted to do them—obviously not my thing but also not my shower. She didn’t care so I didn’t and literally every person commented on how nice it was to just be able to talk and socialize without being rushed between activities. The same aunt offered to throw a baby shower and I said no thank you, I’d rather not have one. Yes, truth—I would rather not have a shower at all than be forced to sit through games, knowing she won’t listen to me anyway.
