When should I put the car seat in the car??

I put the base in my car at week 39, but didn’t put the car seat in until I went into labor. If you have a car accident before the baby is born and the car seat is in there then you need to get a new car seat.

A few weeks before my due date I installed the car seat and had it inspected by a CPS tech. From that day I kept the base installed in the car and put the actual seat back when I was on my way to the hospital.

Take a car seat class at your local hospital to learn how to install it properly before the baby arrives. It’s so important to know how correctly and not as simple as you’d think. I took the class and it saved my daughters life when we got in an accident when she was 2 months old.

Around week 36, went on a 5hour drive to my hometown, so brought it just in case with my hospital bag.

I put mine in super early. Like 30 weeks and was so glad I did because I ended up delivering 6 weeks early
