ohh boy theres a lot-  condoms and birth control never work, you cant get pregnant in a pool, you cant get pregnant if hes behind you, sperm dies as soon as it hits air... i could go on and on

Well I went to Catholic high school, and my sex Ed class was called “Morality” so that will give you an idea of the kind of info I was given.
The biggest lie I remember being told is that ALL STDs are untreatable. I didn’t know that wasn’t the case until college. Also we were generally just taught to fear sex and feel shame about having it before marriage.

So, I didn’t get any sex ed until high school, since I went to catholic school before that. In catholic school, our sex ed was simply: “God will only let you into heaven if you save yourself until marriage, like the Virgin Mary.” Me, a confused child who knew the most baseline basic shit about how babies are made, got sent to detention for saying it’s impossible to get pregnant if you’re a virgin. Then, I finally got my period right before turning 10 years old. I had no idea what was going on I thought I was dying, I was mortified. My mom yelled at me, and asked if I still touched myself (she caught me once when I was young and she screamed at me) and told me the only reason I’d get my period so much earlier than other girls is if I induced it by touching myself too much... I’ve still never forgiven my mom for that shit after I found out it wasn’t true lmao.
