What happened after your membrane sweep/strip?

Pre-strip: very irregular, long and painful BH. Dilated 1cm- not effaced at all. 36+4 (getting induced at 37+4 for medical reasons). FTM.

I had a strip done yesterday at noon... afterwards, I had severe cramping and brown discharge. Then diarrhea. Dilated almost to a 2, but still not effaced. All by 3pm... then after that- nothing. All pre-strip symptoms went away too. Walked two miles, exercised on my ball for 30 mins.. and at 3am now, BH returned.

Just curious how everyone else’s 24 hours went after a strip and how far along were you? Also, what made you know you were in labor and go to the hospital?
