What stage did your doc told you that you tear ??
How are you dealing with your stitches ??

Oh, I used a peri bottle when I peed and made sure I had witch hazel pads and an ice pack for a while down there...

I had third degree.
It was difficult for about two weeks but honestly there’s zero difference now.  Sex is great and my husband said the only thing he notices isnim a bit dryer from breastfeeding but I may actually even be a little tighter.
I was petrified about tearing but it wasn’t that bad

I don’t know that I was told the degree of my tear. I ended up needing pelvic floor physical therapy because my scarring needed to stretch and also because I had a pelvic floor spasm.
This is not usual! However, I do think  that pelvic floor PT should be standard care. It’s not, but it should be.

I had a second-degree year and it was no fun for two weeks. 
I used a pedi bottle, took ibuprofen, and laid on my side instead of sitting and putting pressure on the area. 
It healed pretty quickly and wasn’t a huge deal.

I had a second degree tear. I used the Dermaplast spray (blue lid spray can NOT THE RED LID) and I would also use Tucks witch hazel pads. The Peri bottle helped a lot and don’t wipe, just dab. It was uncomfortable and tight for me for awhile, the different stages of healing bring different types of discomfort. Like at first it was a stinging pain and it moved into achy pain and then a tight uncomfortable pain. It really is a blur, when I went in for my check up at 6 weeks I was healed up.

3rd degree tear... it was worse then giving birth. Use a spray bottle when you pee and have Epson salt baths. It heals eventually! Try not to sit for long periods of time, it’s better for it if you lay down. I sat for a whole day once and by the end of the day I felt like I was ripping in half, so just don’t do it! I think about 2 weeks in I was feeling better but it took a good 6-8 weeks to completely heal.

I didn’t tear (which I was so shocked, my son was 9lbs 4oz 22in) but I had I think 2 stitches on the side because my son was super overdue & his nails were reaaally long & somehow cut me. That’s what I was told anyways by my ob when I asked how bad it was because I thought I was destroyed 😂. The stitches weren’t that bad, they were dissolving & within a week they were gone. Get one of those bottle for when you go to the bathroom, a lifesaver!

1st degree. i healed in 1 week! peri bottle was my best friend. i delivered a 8 pound 10 oz baby and my ob was surprised i didn’t tear bad!! it gets better everyday.

I had a second degree tear and it was painful. My memory on everything else about it is foggy like heal time. Dermablast is amazing they sometimes give it to you after labor when you get settled into your room. If not they sell it at Walmart by the bandaids and that stuff. At least in my local Walmart they do.

I had a second degree tear. It was uncomfortable in the beginning, but after a few weeks felt much better.
