Tubes tied at 19?

I will be having twins in mid september, and since I got both a boy and a girl all at once it's safe to say I won't be wanting to have anymore. I've tried multiple types of birth control in the past and they've all had negative side effects. I was wondering if I would be able to tie my tubes? I know 19 is a young age and they prefer to do it when you are older, but considering the circumstances maybe they will let me? Has anyone else had their tubes tied? And at what age?

I highly doubt they will agree to it unless you have complications during pregnancy and birth. 
Lots of young people say no more and then have more in their 30s... my bestie had a bad time giving birth to her twin sons when she 19, she swore never again. She wanted her tubes tied. Her ex their father wasn’t the best of boyfriends, he was lazy and they gradually grew apart when the boys was 4... since then shes had a string of terrible relationships, til now shes in her mid 30s her son are 14 and she’s met a wonderful man who works hard and has taken her sons in as his own and after they are married she wanted to give him a child. Shes so happy she can do that for him. 
Things change, shes learnt loads and is a different person from when she was 19.

Go for it! I'm 20, no kids, and planning on getting my tubes tied soon..I currently don't have insurance, but when I do, I'll be going to every gynecologist in my city till one agrees. That's what you have to do when you're young. Go over to reddit, go to the childfree subreddit, they have a list of doctors that people there have had success with. There might be one near you. Unfortunately, the only one close to me is an hour away, so I'll try finding a doctor in my city first. You can get it at 18, you're a legal adult. Doctors just give people a hard time.

they wont let you because you are so young. even if you have kids. my coworker wanted her tubes tied after having her kid and she is 19 they told her to get the hormonal IUD and in 5 years they will tie her tubes. goodluck.

I had my daughter at 26, and my doctor had asked if I wanted to have mine done after I had her. My daughter was unplanned, I was told up until her that I could not have children. I had always stress that if I couldn’t have children and decided I wanted them I could always adopt. I think if you explain to your doctor that you have two children in the way and that’s exactly what you wanted they should have no problem doing it. If they try to talk you out of it because of your age, you could always remind them that adoption is always a choice later on if you change your mind. There are tons of kids without parents who are always looking for a good home.

State laws vary. In Florida, you have to be at least 21 with two kids, otherwise they won’t do it until you’re older. Some doctors will work with you and try to say it’s due to medical reasons, but since you’re only 19 it’s going to be hard to find a doctor who will remove them.
Call around and ask every doctor within 50 miles of you. Ask for consultations. You’ll have to push them to understand your reasoning.

I’m 23 and had mine done during a c section last year with my daughter when I was 22. I have a son whose 2 as well, and since I was sure I only wanted two children and i got one of each they agreed. I did however have to have a lot of talks with consultants who repeatedly asked me if it was what I wanted. They would ask me things like what if something was to happen to the pregnancy or your other child are you sure that you don’t want anymore and I simply said yes because they’re irreplaceable. I think they see it as if something was to happen to them, you could potentially want more? But I personally wouldn’t want that. It is something you need to make sure you’re certain about. There’s been times since where I’ve been a little sad about not being able to have anymore but I know for a fact I wouldn’t even want anymore it’s just knowing that I don’t have that option anymore. It’s strange. Just make sure it’s what you want 😊 also look up PTLS as I have that ever since and no one told me about it before. It’s not pleasant.

I have a friend who got hers tied at 20 and another who did at 24 but like mentioned above I believe different states all have different laws and also different doctors have different opinions on wether or not they will perform it.
