Birth control with strict parents

I’ve been dating my boyfriend for almost a year and we have unprotected sex sometimes. We’ve had a few pregnancy scares and I want to get on birth control. How can I tell my mom? She’s VERY strict. And I probably can’t tell her it’s for my periods because she’ll get suspicious, especially since I’ve been with my boyfriend for a while now. Help!
