My husband and I cannot have biological children so we would like to adopt a child in foster care. We are in our 30s. Very financially secure. No bad criminal history. We’d like to adopt a little bit of an older child, not an infant or toddler. Five and up would be preferable. Is it impossible? I’ve heard things like you can rarely actually adopt the kids but aren’t there some who’s parents are no longer in the picture at all? I’m sorry if this is insensitive. I’m very uneducated on foster care. We’ll be meeting with someone next week and I would like some info so I can compile a list of questions to ask them.
