Insight on missed miscarriage TRIGGER WARNING

Hello ladies, I’m looking for advice. At my doctor appointment two days ago, baby had shown to have stopped growing the week prior. My body has not had any signs of natural expelling of the tissue and doctor wants to have medical intervention if nothing occurs in the next few days. He’s recommending the pill inserted vaginally and to be taken on the start of what would be the 9th week of pregnancy (since it will be 2 weeks since baby had stopped developing). This will all occur after two rounds of blood work and two ultrasounds to confirm the missed miscarriage.

Has anyone had a similar experience in prior pregnancies? How was the pill to take? What can I expect from the bleeding and pain? How soon were you able to conceive after? Devastated is an understatement and I just wish my body would start the process.
