Question abojt parenting

I’ve always knew my parents is toxic and they definitely has got some issues with being overly protective and not respecting boundaries. I’m 18 and i still live off their money. I’m still in college and i work a part time job but only enough to pay for my daily life, not enough for rent.

A while ago they used to put a gps tracker on my phone so they can know where I am 24/7. I was really bugged by this and has managed to convince them that it isn’t healthy. They used safety reasons as an excuse. in exchange for that now that it’s gone from my phone, i need to report to them everytime i went somewhere. So forexample when i told them i would be going to A, but then later on i decided to move to B and C they need to know. Everytime i leave they’d at least call me twice just to check my whereabouts. They said they need to know whre i am 24/7 so that if something bad happens they’d know directly where to find me. it made sense, but it’s also inconvenience for me. myquetion is, do yoy think they’re right and i’m over reacting or are they the one who’s over reacting.
