My family accused my of not being happy about having a baby because I don’t want to paint the nursery. Do you guys agree?

I explained to them once the child has an opinion I will be more than happy to paint the bedroom for her. But I don’t see the purpose to spend a bunch of money on a theme for a nursery when the child won’t know and I don’t care. I’d rather spend my money elsewhere.

Our nursery will be white along with the rest of our house, we like it that way and it lets art work etc be the focus point! It’s your baby & your house, just ignore them 💛

We have 4 kiddos and a 3 bedroom house.  Our new baby will be in our room.  Then will move to my step sons room when older as they are not with us full time.  None of our kids have their rooms painted.  who cares!

Nope we didn’t do a theme or anything. My twins slept in our room for the first year they are now 2.5 and just now starting to get into dinosaurs for the boy and my little pony for the girl so we are planning a makeover for their room now. But the baby I’m pregnant with will be in our room for a year so we aren’t doing any kind of nursery for his someday room he will either move into the guest bedroom at 1 or in with the twins.

My first son's room had 1 blue wall, but it was blue even before I was pregnant with him. We painted one room blue, and one purple when we moved into the house. And when we got pregnant and found out the gender that was the deciding factor for which room they got. 
Also, we didn't have a "theme" he was my little monkey when I was pregnant with him, and that was the theme of my baby shower. So I just used some of the decorations for my son's room. It was very minimally decorated, and he was very much loved and wanted.

that's silly, we arent even going to have a nursery at all. first year he will be in our room with us, after that he will share a room with our other son who is a toddler, the room is huge and our spare bedroom needs to stay my office for work.

I did paint but only because we built our house and it’s been primed white since that time. We went with a dove white, which is very neutral and goes with everything. That kid will have no clue or care about a paint color for a long time. Ignore it.

Not at all! My hubby is all about painting everything and I am not. It's alot of work and what if I end up hating it. So like you I would rather wait and let my boys pick their room colors when they are older.
