Sharp pain during ovulation

I know it’s normal to actually feel some cramping/pain during ovulation. But this month, but days that my opk was super positive, I was having intense she pain on my right side, to the point that sex on both days really hurt. And I don’t ever feel pain during sex.

I had an ultrasound done about 6 weeks ago during a really horrible period to make sure there were no cycsts/fibroids/miscarrying and that was totally normal. Saw my gyno about 2.5 weeks to follow up with that and she again confirmed everything looked normal. But said endometriosis is always a possibility but requires extensive testing.

Is the pain I was feeling normal (I’ve never had the ovulation pain/cramps people talk about so I just don’t know)... or is this a sign of endometriosis since it was also painful during sex??
