Baby Sprinkle

What does everyone think about the whole Baby Sprinkle idea? (Shower/party to celebrate new baby even though you have the large essentials already).

My husband and I found out last week that we are having a boy! We have 2 living girls already, and all the cousins on both sides of the family are girls as well, so there's no boy toys/clothes or even experience. We've always wanted a baby boy and are absolutely thrilled! We have a crib and car seat that are gender neutral, and it's not like he can't play with the toys we have. There's no issue with buying everything we do need for baby by ourselves as we don't ever ask for anything. However, I think it would be so much fun celebrating our boy. 💙
