Traveling with twins -pack n play?

A question for moms who travel:  my husband and I are big travelers and want to continue when the twins are here.  So I am looking at the pack and play more as a portable crib (not as something to contain them in while at home - so I’m not interested in the twin version with double bassinets).  
Would one pack and play work as a portable crib for 2 babies?  Or is it too small/ wouldn’t hold enough weight?  What do you do for sleeping arrangements when traveling?

I would buy two small cots, we travelled a lot and that was our solution. If you buy a big pack and play it will be useful only for 3 months.
Having two cots also allows you to put them apart if they wake each other up during the night (mine do so they sleep in separate rooms).
If I rent via airbnb/home away I check if they have a cot and take the other one myself (in a lot of places they don’t have two). If they have two, then I take some sheets and problem solved.

Ours used one pack n play when they were small but each needed their own by the time they were 3 or 4 months. They are 9 months now and there is no way they could share one happily or safely.

Usually hotels have cribs or pick and plays they can put in your room ..I just bring along a pack of disinfectant wipes and our on crib sheets
