My first trimester blood screen and Nuchal translucency ultrasound came back normal but my second trimester blood test was elevated for Downs (1:40). I meet with a genetic counselor and do a 20 week anatomy scan on July 9th but in the mean time... I’m concerned. My husband isn’t taking it well even though I explained to him this doesn’t mean baby has Downs. But his fear from the very beginning was that our baby would have a health issue. He’s a bit of a worrier. I am also a worrier but I’m also trying to keep a level head about this one since it doesn’t mean anything definitive yet. But I can’t deny the emotions we’re feeling about this. We haven’t talked about the “what if’s” yet. Just looking for a little support.
