Vaginal dryness

So I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost 3 years , and since we met I never got wet on my own, I’ve always had to self lubricate. But I noticed my vagina would only moisturize itself when I’m actually having sex. Especially after sex it would wet. But before sex, I never get wet. With exes they would always just be able to slide in which idk why because my current boyfriend sex feels way better. But there are only a handful of occasions where he could just slide in without me having to use saliva. He is super sexy and sexual, but IDK . Is something wrong with me? Should I get checked out? He also is now starting to foreplay a little better, it sometimes feels good but I just don’t get wet. HELP me
