"friends" think it's funny when toddlers curse

j

are cursing toddlers cute? my friend told me that her boyfriend's family thinks it is funny to teach her niece curse words. specifically the n-word. they're Hispanic.

the niece is 3.

I personally think this is disgusting, they claim it's not because they're racist- just that it's funny to hear vulgar words coming out of a child's mouth. I think they're racist (and very, very trashy) and I told her that his family won't think it's too funny when she says those words when she goes to school and somebody pops her in the mouth.

do your kids curse?

just to clarify, I've never met her boyfriend's family-- I've only met her bf twice-- and I have-- at least on one occasion-- advised her to find a new bf (long before i knew this). she's not going to break up with him. they've been together for about 5 years. I can't pick her bf, but I can advise her on what I would do in certain situations. also, it's technically her bf's niece, but she considers her a niece, too.
