Do you think 1 & 1/2 years is too soon to get engaged?

Just asking out of curiosity. My partner and I have been together this long and we know we want to get married, but we’re waiting until we know we’re not rushing into anything.

My husband proposed after 6 months then we got married 6 months after that. I know that it’s different for everyone so I think you know when you’re ready

I think it depends on maturity level.  I know some 20 yr olds that really understand commitment and then I know some 40 yr olds that I think for the love of god get it together.  my parents got married after a couple of months 26 yrs later they are still together.  I have siblings who are divorced under 30.  I've been with my husband going on 10 years married 4 (together since 14) we got married after 6 years.

I wouldn’t. For me, the infatuation stage doesn’t wear completely off til after the 2 year mark. I’ve had plenty of boyfriends that felt like “the one,” but the relationship ended up fizzling out, a lot of times after 2 years. Everyone is different, I’m not saying it can’t happen, but I wouldn’t go to marriage that quick.

My husband and I got engaged after dating for five months !! I know that sounds crazy but there is no one else in this entire world I’d rather spend my life with 💕 we have now been married just under two years and together for 3 and have two beautiful kids 😍... life is what you make it if the two of you feel like your ready for that step in your life’s then don’t let anyone stop you ... best of wishes to you guys 😊

Depends really. We were together 13 years before we got married. At point we had lived in four different countries, lived in ~ 7 flats, 5 different cities, adopted three cats and pretty much knew already that we would stay together. After 1,5 years I was sure but not *that* sure. 
There is no rush to get married really and I personally feel like people are doing it far too early most of the times.
