When did everyone start planning the nursery?

Hi ladies! Just wondering what everyone else has done as far as planning the nursery and buying furniture, etc. I am planning to find out the gender early (assuming they can get a good look) and I have hardly thought of buying anything at all at this point! When should I start buying things?!

We had our theme picked out before our first ultrasound at 7 weeks. Then we waited in the gender to figure out what color to paint the walls.

Bought a Winnie the Pooh wall sticker, the wall was already blue and I had a spare pair of purple flower curtains. So that will be the theme till we decide to redecorate my boys room, when he has an opinion.

We’re almost done with our nursery, about 75% done. I’m 23 weeks. We aren’t finding out the sex so I’ve been keeping it a neutral theme...

I am currently 25+3 and have not bought anything. we plan to buy the paint and paint by the end of July. then when we get the big items at my baby shower in August, we'll start decorating.
