I'm 5'6 and I weigh 180 lbs...

According to my doctor (and the BMI) I'm over weight. So I recently decided that I should aim to lose 30lbs in order to reach the healthy, normal weight for my height (150 lbs). The only thing is I'm not sure what time frame I should set within which to achieve my goal. Or at least in which to check where I'm at regarding that goal. Can anyone suggest some ideas regarding the time frame I should set for achieving my goal? (Any tips on losing that 30 lbs is also welcome! ❤️) I'm hoping to WOW my Dr. when I go, in December, for my annual checkup. :) Thanks in advance ladies!
