Baby on board sign?

Question

I’m trying to convince my spouse to put a “baby on board” sign on his truck but he says it’s not necessary and that he is a good driver. Though I’m pretty sure it would be better if he did have it on his truck. Is it necessary to have one? Do people go without one?

The sign is actually to make paramedics and other emergency services aware that there is a baby on board in case you get into an accident

I like the ones where you can write the amount of children/people overall that are in the vehicle. It’s not so that people drive cautiously around you. It’s to serve as a heads up to paramedics that there are more than just adults in the vehicle in case of an accident. Many people don’t remove car seats/boosters when their children aren’t with them so they never really know to search for any children that may have been thrown from the vehicle.

its not about how he drives or how others drive around you. those sign are just incase of an accident it tells emts and other emergency personal that there is a child in the car that cannot unstrap itself.

I read that they are actually for emergency vehicles/staff to know to look for a baby/small child in the case of an accident. So I think they are a good idea and will be using one simply for that reason.

Your not supposed to get the stickers.. get the suction cup ones. They are for paramedics and first responders so they know to look for the child first and safe and secure them then come for you. 
Your only supposed to have them up when the child is in the car so that if there is an accident when the child is not in the car they will take care of you first. 
The sign isn’t saying he’s a bad driver it’s for the safety of the child. Just because he’s a safe driver doesn’t mean someone else won’t his him. I’m a safe driver too but when i was 17 i got hit head on by a crack head going 80 in a 35.. it’s just a safety precaution. 
Please please please get him one. He only has to have it up when the baby is in the car.

I don't know anyone with a small child that actually has used one. I do not feel like they are necessary or would cause other people to drive differently around you.

Try maybe to convince him there are other options than just the regular baby on board ones. They actually have some good ones.
