Today I had a growth scan and it turns my little boy isn’t so little. He’s 6 lbs and 4 oz already! My doctor said that I’ll have another growth scan in 4 weeks, if baby is 10+ lbs then I’ll have to have a c-section. In the meantime, little one will have to be monitored once a week. I’m a first time mom and I’m not really sure how to process this information and I really don’t want a c-section. She didn’t say it was bad that he’s growing a rapid rate but she didn’t say it was good either. I was wondering if this could mean I could deliver earlier than my due date? I probably should have asked her but I was a bit flustered to think right. Has this happened to anyone else? Thoughts?
