Maybe TMI: Help understanding Ovulation
Hello.. I recently started using OPKs. I do know that you get a LH hormone surge prior to ovulation..
What I don’t fully understand is when to start TTC.. Is it the last negative right before positive? Is it the first positive? It is the last positive?
When I get the first positive as I did today, did I already ovulate? If we do the dance tonight am I too late?
Last month we did the dance from day one I tested positive until I peaked & it tapered down.. But I didn’t get pregnant. I wonder if I should have started sooner?
Our other issue is that my husband cannot “go” everynight, we can usually get 2 consecutive nights (but it’s difficult for him the second night) then we have to skip a night before he is “fully loaded” again.. He can get hard everyday, but he says that his balls hurt when he tries to ejaculate everyday.
I try my best to time our baby dance to the day so I don’t overwhelm him.. So that’s why I’m not sure which days are the most important according to the OPKs.. The date of ovulation changes in the app as I enter in my test results, so I can’t just do it based off the calendar..
We have been TTC for 2 years. Last year I got pregnant in July & had a miscarriage in September.. I followed the calendar ever since but always end up missing ovulation because it changes monthly, that’s why I started using OPKs..
Any info is helpful! I appreciate anyone willing to take the time to try to help me understand!
