Anyone know how many TUMS you can take in a day to help with ❤️ Heartburn☹️?

the extra strength (1000 mg) are 5 a day during pregnancy but I spoke to my doctor and he said I could take more and didn't give me a number. he also suggested (cold) mylanta once a day before bedtime if I didn't feel comfortable with the amount of time I was going through

it's 5-7 depending on regular or extra strength.
Try zantec, I would have to take a tums every 10 min had I not found the zantec!

I don’t think you’re supposed to have more then 8 in 24 hours or something like that per the bottle. However i did not follow this and my OBGYN didn’t seem concerned. But the tums and Zantac stopped working for me so i was put on a prescription of meds for my heartburn, even now it doesn’t always work so I take tums occasionally with the meds

I honestly take them when needed. I also drink a glass of milk before I go to bed because I get horrible heart burn when im laying down and that seems to help alot. Milk and tums are a life saver to me. Laying on my left side helps too, with heart burn.

If I remember correctly, the bottle says 2 every few hours or so, but when I was pregnant my heartburn was TERRIBLE. My doctor said eat as many as I need, the amount on the bottle didn't matter, I could eat an entire bottle in a day and it wouldn't hurt the baby.
Luckily, they worked pretty well for me so I'd only need 2-3 every hour or so.
