I gave baby girl a bath the day hers fell off. She wasn’t completely submerged but had a warm wet washcloth over her belly! I just dried it well by blotting with the towel when she got out. I didn’t use soap on it when in the bath, just water.

I have 2 kids and when they fell off my mom give them a bath with warm water and alcohol (not a lot) She is a nurse and did it with all her sister kids 4 sister each 3-5 kids , with me and my sister and her 7 grandkids. she said can help clean it and help them sleep. it would not hurt baby.

looks perfect. :) I'd still keep the area dry but a bath should be fine if you don't put baby's tummy in the water. all of my babies loved their baths.

My daughters looked like that after falling off at 1 week. It actually bleed once 4 days after (which worried me enough to call the pediatrician). She said it was fine, just to be careful and I could even give her baths, just to put some drops of alcohol in it after to help dry it out.

This is it now at 7 weeks and have had no issues since that one instance.
