Is it normal to feel a little uncomfortable wearing a tampon?

This is my first time using one and it is a little uncomfortable

Sometimes tampons just are not comfortable for some. It doesn’t mean you have it in wrong. I am 20 and have been trying tampons since I was 16. They are very uncomfortable for me no matter how I put it in. Tampons are also a lot more dangerous than pads. I stick with just pads. More comfy and don’t have to worry as much

Yea it was uncomfortable the first time I wore one but it was because it wasn’t inserted in far enough. Basically you don’t want to be able to feel the tampon if that makes sense.

It may be at first but it shouldn’t hurt if it is placed properly. Read the instructions that come with the box and make sure it’s completely inside the vagina. You’ll get used to how far to push it in after a few times.

Maybe if you put it in when you were super dry. My friend once left the applicator inside her vagina and man did she look uncomfortable.
