St. Ives Apricot Scrub??

Question

I’ve never used this before up until today when I snagged it from the dollar store because my face felt absolutely GROSS after I got out of work today. I’ve heard great things about it, and I’ve also heard that it’s too rough on your skin and not good for it at alllll. I have moderate acne and working in a food court doesn’t help much, but I was wondering if it was worth it to clear the acne up??

I have read plenty about how that scrub is too rough on skin! There are gentler ways to exfoliate. I think a chemical exfoliating product, a clarisonic, or even a gentle massage with a microfiber cloth would be better than that scrub, imo.

For a once a week ‘remove dead skin’ type of thing it’s great but you shouldn’t be using any scrub on your face daily. It works ok and it didn’t give me anymore acne so that’s a plus for me 😂 
I use the clean and clear acne triple clear face wash and it’s probably the only thing to actually clear my acne.

I’ve always found it to be really aggressive of an exfoliant. In the past few years, I’ve discovered chemical exfoliants (AHAs) and love them. Those in combination with a really simple, no frills cleanser and my Clarisonic on the most gentle setting using the delicate brush head works fantastically for me. So, if you can afford a Clarisonic, I highly recommend it. Fair warning though, your skin can go through a purge phase.

I use it for when I have dead skin! It works very well for that. But for daily use I use some other stuff

It didn’t clear up my acne at all. Now your skin might react completely different, so if you really wanna try it, do a patch test to make sure it doesn’t abdicate you. What I would personally do, steam your face: heat some water up and put a towel over the bowl and then ice your face with some ice cubes. Feels amazing and no chemicals to irritate your skin. This really helped with my acne. Good luck!
