How do you involve your spouse in a pregnancy?

I'm 35 weeks and my spouse and I are not in a good place. He says I've alienated him from the pregnancy and he knows nothing. I don't know what he means or what he's talking about. This is our 3rd, but our 2nd was an Angel. I've let him know that I've been sick most the pregnancy, I've gained a ton of weight, and I'm having a lot more pains than I've ever had. My Dr has only ever done the heartbeat sound once, at my first appointment. After that he does a 30-60 second ultrasound and just looks at the heartbeat on the monitor then that's it, appointment is over. He, the Dr, even has told me to just come back every 6 weeks because I have no issues. So everything else is just, uneventful and full of nothing to report. What am I doing wrong for him to not feel "involved in a pregnancy", when I myself just don't know what else I'm supposed to do.
