Clogged duct?

So this spot on my breast (maybe an inch and a half above my nipple) had been super red. I mentioned it to my son's pediatrician and the lactation consultant yesterday who thought it was maybe something external and suggested I put hydrocortisone on it and check in next week. Well, I put hydrocortisone on it last night and now it's purple and looks almost like a blood blister.

Has anyone ever had anything like this happen??? I have no clue at this point. It is not painful.
