Dear PARENTS (from a 19 y/o)

Specifically mothers.

I’m a 19 y/o female living with a single mother. I’m respectful (besides the occasional arguments every mother has with her daughter) I’m excellent in school, I don’t lie and when I am allowed out the house I update her on my whereabouts. Yet my mother is still overprotective which I guess is understandable since she’s a single mother. What’s the most frustrating is that when I’m away in college I just do what I want. I go to parties, hang with friends etc. and she knows this yet when I’m home I can’t even leave the house unless two of my sisters tag along and I am barely allowed out.

I want to go to a guy friends’s house to do his hair. That’s it. He even reassured me his own mother will be there bc that’s just the type of girl I am. The problem is I already know my mom will say no. I feel as if this is unfair bc it’s saying she doesnt trust me. It’s not like I’m going to go have sex with him or do drugs or something I just want to do a favor

Is it wrong if I go without telling my mom the specific details?
