Notifying Family of Labor/Birth of Baby

When do you plan on notifying family/friends that you are in the hospital/had your baby? I think we told our family way too soon with our daughter, who had to be induced on a Friday afternoon and didn’t arrive until early Sunday morning. We had visitors coming and going for almost 2 straight days. I even had a panic attack because of it.

This time we are at a smaller hospital that is also about a 2 hour drive for our families. Is it wrong of me to request they not even show up until after Golden Hour/Skin-Skin? More people = more stress (in my opinion). But I’m curious as to what has worked for y’all.
