Baby Shower at a Restaurant?

Question

Has anyone held their baby shower at a restaurant? My mom is hosting our co-ed shower and she said she’d rather do it at a restaurant instead of someone’s home to avoid having to do clean-up/breakdown. 
I feel bad because it’s going to be pretty expensive because we’re going to have 40-50 guests and my mom will be paying for everyone’s food.

i’d try to find someone that does it catering style. think of if you were the waiters and waitresses, or the other guests in the restaurant. would you be slightly annoyed at that loud group in the corner (depending on your mood maybe lol) i work in food and it’s just something to think about, just think about other people too, i know it’s a baby and your family and it’s a time in your life to focus on yourself but wouldn’t you want to do that in a place a little more private? the waterpark comment wasn’t bad because that way you have a TON of room to have a ton of people roaming around. or if you do a restaurant see if there’s a place where you can rent like the outdoor part so you aren’t getting in the way of other customers. yes the restaurant might make a lot of money off of you, but i know i would maybe find some place else to eat if i walked in to something like this, or depending on my mood i might say screw it and say how cute and mind my own business but who knows people are different and everyone’s got a stick up their butt now a days. neighborhood clubhouses or a gazebo in the park is usually where my family has done it, somewhere with lots of space

Mine is going to be at a restaurant. The price isn’t bad because people can’t choose what they want from the menu or anything like that, it’s just pizza and salad and a set price per person. If you can find somewhere that does it like that, you can keep costs down somewhat.

With my son I had 2 baby showers because both of our families live so far apart. My family threw one for us at a local park and rented a pavilion. My boyfriends family threw one for us at a restaurant in their conference room.

Yes i had my baby shower at a Italian restaurant . Mine and my husbands favorite place . 
 They really make it nice for you. I got to create my own menu and pick how i wanted everything made. They also gave me a beautiful area , and we got to take home left overs for free

yes, i had both my bridal and baby showers at restaurants. way easier clean up, and i feel like depending on the restaurant they will work with your budget and some places let you have a custom menu. because i knew both owners of the restaurants they even let me take the leftover food home, which they legally aren't suppose to. i just feel like its way better than lets say a country club or hall rental where you would also have to pay for the room fee.

We were going to have mine at a small amusement park and have it be a family fun day too with my siblings, nieces, nephew, and Mom... 
My son came two weeks early though so he got to attend his own shower and we had it at a park. 😂 
(Couldn’t have had it earlier because we had just moved back to the area.) 
Wherever you want to have the shower is great.

I had mine at our country club which was held in the restaurant sort of part. My friend had hers at a popular restaurant/Italian banquet hall where they had their wedding. Maybe it’s different where you live, but where I’m from I’ve been to over a dozen baby showers and not a single one had been held not at a restaurant or venue.
Great because you don’t have to worry about food or clean up and he place is usually already semi decorated.
