stopping period w BC

So I’m supposed to be getting my period today or tomorrow but it hasn’t come yet. I leave for vacation in exactly a week. I am currently in my “period week” of the pills. If I take an active pill today and continue it as i normally would, will my period not come this cycle? Is it safe to do? I just don’t want my period coming too late then end up being on it during vacation. Thank you!! ❤️
