IUI VS IVF

hi! I was recently diagnosed with SIN unilaterally, I haven’t had my second meeting with my dr yet but they are stating its best for me to skip IUI and go right to IvF however my uterus is healthy my ovaries are great and my left tube works. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is that normal? I would think I should be able to conceive from my healthy side. Obviously I’m going to talk with my doc but I have a week and a half to twiddle my thumbs 🤷🏼‍♀️
