Going through airport security while pregnant cause Harm ?

Hi I’m currently 7 weeks preg and have a few flights coming up. Is it safe to go through the airport security scanners while pregnant? I’m
Worried about the radiation that it might cause harm to the baby. Should I ask for a pat down too? I’m Going to America and very excited but nervous about this overseas trip .

fun fact, the most radiation the average person will experience is while flying. the higher up the atmosphere you go, the higher the levels of radiation there are due to less atmospheric shielding. They're not high enough to be dangerous, though. but to answer your original question, they're safe and you're fine going through them.

I do believe they are safe to go through. I found out I was pregnant on vacation and went through the scanner. I asked if it were safe and they assured me it was. U get more cosmic radiation from the flight itself. I work in X-ray and I did X-rays and live radiation while pregnant and I had a healthy baby.

You're fine to go through it. Baby Center just had an article on it saying it's fine. My doctor said it's fine, research says it's fine. I traveled with when pregnant with my son and I'm traveling tomorrow at 28+2.

It's fine. I went overseas at 9 weeks pregnant with my daughter. The scanners never even crossed my mind.

You can ask for a pat down only and then you won’t get any radiation from the x-ray machine. I would stay away from as much radiation as possible. You’ll be getting enough flying on the plane. I’m sure you’d be fine either way, but better safe than sorry. Too much radiation is known to cause problems, especially in pregnancy.
