I think classes should be taken but you cant really make it illegal to become a parent before 18.. accidents happen. and you cant put all children up for adoption as a requirement for those who end up pregnant at a young age. it just isnt possible and just bc they're young, does not mean they cant be amazing parents. there are adults who are shit parents, age doesnt make you a good or bad parent.

I had my oldest when I was 16. Graduated valedictorian. Went on the college. Had my second in undergrad. Currently in a PhD program pregnant with my third. This post is entirely insane. I know better teen moms than 30 year old moms and vise versa 🙄

I think any parenting [regardless of age] should require a permit or something. Like it requires more paperwork to drive a car than to MAKE A HUMAN BEING!

I was 17 when i had my daughter. So hell no. She is and always will be my everything. From the day i had her to the day i die. You do realize our great great grandparents were having kids at like 13 on purpose? My nana has 14 brothers and sisters

I'm 19, my husband is 22. 
We have a son on the way a month before my 20th birthday. We also have a home (I moved out at 16 and lived in my truck for years until I was 18, bad parents) 
Got a home, renovating it, both of us have full time jobs. And we also have vehicles. And bills to keep up.
I believe its fine. As long as they understand the things and choices you gotta make. And are financially able (we weren't but after I got pregnant we opened our eyes real quick!)

All the teens on here preaching that then are ready! I’m 30, I love kids and babies, I used to nanny. I’m married, we own a 4 year old condo, own cars, have no debt, have travelled the last 2 years like crazy, I have a full time job with extended benefits and my husband works two jobs, both of which have benefits... were in canada. We prepped so much for this baby by stock piling diapers and clothes etc! And I’m still scared shitless to become a parent. It’s not just black and white and about having your basic life together, it’s about mental maturity and mental stability. 
I know tons of people in their 30s who are horrible parents and I also know people in their late teens and early 20s thinking they know it all until the baby came out and they literally ended up having a mental breakdown and the dad left, which the stars are huge for young dads unfortunately!
Everyone should have to take a class.

Dude like 75+ years ago people at like 15 were getting married! My husbands great grandparents the girl was 13 or 14 and the guy was a little older. Like in the 1890’s or early 1900’s... I don’t understand why society changed and discriminate against what used to happen.
