Things needed after birth? 🧐

I’m a first time mommy! I’m due any day now 🤞🏽I hope 🤞🏽 what are some things I might need for recovery after birth?

Thank you ladies so much! I made sure to go to the store and get things you guys recommended. Also the food part, I do have my mother in law living with us so she will be doing all the cooking and also my husband is a chef himself so will cook from time to time :)

Food! Make you’re house is stocked with frozen food, canned goods, anything you’ll need to make yourself easy meals.

Stool softeners, big pads, dermablast, ice packs, and tucks pads!! If you nurse, gig will want breast pads and nipple cream

Depends diapers! Because they work way better than pads and are more comfortable, Dermoplast!, and witchhazel spray for healing!

Hospital gave me a water bottle (I added chamomile to it) to rinse with after each trip to the bathroom and numbing foam. I also had a bottle of witch hazel. Huge pads and stool softener.

I found using “water wipes” after using the toilet for the first week or so really helped as I was quite sore from having an episiotomy... lavender oil and tea tree oil a few drops of each with a splash of milk all chucked in the bath every morning for a nice “douche” as washing my bits in the shower was the last thing I wanted to do.. wish I had some kind of donut to sit on as sitting was horrible when healing...
