My midwife said that it's normal because of the extra blood flow but last Sunday and today, sex begins to burn after a few minutes and my labia swell up on the outside.

Before sex last Sunday, it had been about 2 weeks for us. I definitely had an orgasm but it still burned horribly after and the swelling was for a few hours and I couldn't sleep very well. Today, we hadn't had sex since last week and had a lunchtime quickie and the same thing happened! Hubby finished inside of me both times. Normal? I'm 12w3d today.

Edit to add: I'd been avoiding sex this week because of what happened last Sunday and my body confirmed why 😞 hubby said we don't have to have sex but I know he gets worked up and I hate blue balling him.
